Private H. Fisher

 

The background of this man is not known at present.

H. Fisher enlisted in the North Irish Horse at Belfast on 14 August 1918 (Corps of Hussars No.72128). He was described as being 5' 6" tall, with a sallow complexion, black hair and grey eyes. He stated that he was 24 years old, was born in Glasgow, and that his occupation was as a tailor's presser.

Fisher was reported to have deserted from the regiment's reserve base at Antrim on 19 August 1918, just five days after his enlistment. It is not known if he was subsequentially apprehended.
